Dermathod Priming Booster Peel Pads
Dermathod Priming Booster Peel Pads
Gentle exfoliation for smoother, brighter, clearer-looking skin without the irritation of a traditional peel.
Dermathod Priming Booster Peel Pads are individually wrapped exfoliating pads formulated with a slow-release blend of PHA + LHA. They gradually refine texture, brighten dull-looking skin, and help keep pores clear without the sting or downtime of stronger exfoliating acids.
I especially like them when skin feels a little off: dull, uneven, congested, or more reactive than usual. They're also one of my most requested at-home exfoliating products at the spa.
Each box contains 30 individually wrapped pads. I recommend using them 2–3 times a week on the face, neck, chest, and even the backs of the hands.
If you're unsure how exfoliation fits into your skincare routine, you can read my guide to at-home exfoliation.
What They Help With
-
Dull or tired-looking skin
-
Clogged pores and congestion
-
Mild breakouts
-
Uneven tone and texture
-
Skin that doesn't tolerate stronger acids well
-
Keratosis pilaris and rough bumps on the arms
What Makes Them Different
The difference is the PHA + LHA combination. Rather than relying on a more aggressive acid peel, these pads exfoliate gradually to refine texture, help keep pores clear, and improve dull, uneven-looking skin.
PHA provides gentle surface exfoliation while helping support hydration, while LHA works more selectively around pores and areas of congestion. Glutathione adds brightening and antioxidant support, with glycerin, vitamin E, and green tea helping keep skin comfortable and hydrated.
That makes them especially useful when you want regular exfoliation but your skin doesn't respond well to stronger acids.
Pila's Tip: These are one of the exfoliators I recommend when someone tells me acids usually make their skin angry. You still get that smoother, brighter look, but without feeling like you have to peel your skin to get there. I usually start with 2–3 nights a week.
How to Use
After cleansing, swipe the textured side over the face and neck. Flip to the smooth side to finish.
Use any remaining product on your chest and the backs of your hands. You can also use the pads on areas of rough texture or keratosis pilaris.
Do not rinse. Let the essence absorb, then follow with serum and moisturizer.
Use 2–3 times per week, or adjust based on how your skin responds. Wear SPF daily when using exfoliating products.
Pairs Well With
Intraceuticals Rejuvenate Daily Serum — Follow your peel pad with this hydrating serum to replenish moisture while helping skin look smoother, firmer, and more refreshed.
I especially like these together because the Dermathod Peel Pads remove dull surface buildup and refine texture, while Rejuvenate gives freshly exfoliated skin a boost of hydration without weighing it down.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are Dermathod Priming Booster Peel Pads good for sensitive skin?
A: They can be a good option for skin that doesn't tolerate stronger exfoliating acids well. The PHA + LHA formula provides a gentler approach to exfoliation. Start slowly and adjust frequency based on how the skin responds.
Q: How often should you use Dermathod Priming Booster Peel Pads?
A: Start with 2–3 times per week and adjust as needed based on skin type, sensitivity, and other active products in the routine.
Q: Can Dermathod Peel Pads help with clogged pores and breakouts?
A: Yes. LHA helps address congestion around the pores, while exfoliation removes dead surface buildup that can contribute to clogged pores and uneven texture. They're especially well suited to mild congestion and occasional breakouts when a stronger peel isn't necessary.
Q: Can Dermathod Peel Pads be used on more than the face?
A: Yes. After using the pad on the face, use the remaining product on the neck, chest, and backs of the hands. The pads can also be used on areas of rough texture or keratosis pilaris.
Q: Can Dermathod Priming Booster Peel Pads be used year-round?
A: Yes. Daily sunscreen is important when using exfoliating products, and frequency should be reduced if skin becomes more sensitive because of weather, increased sun exposure, or other active products.
