Choosing a cleanser sounds simple until you realize Skin Script has several good ones, and they’re designed for very different skin concerns.
The cleanser I recommend for someone with dry, sensitive skin isn’t the same one I’d choose for someone dealing with clogged pores, hormonal breakouts, excess oil or hyperpigmentation.
And sometimes, more than one cleanser can be right for you. I actually keep several Skin Script cleansers in my own shower and choose between them depending on what my skin needs that day.
Skin Script Cleansers at a Glance
Best Everyday Cleanser: Green Tea Citrus Cleanser
If you’re not dealing with one major skin concern and simply want a cleanser that does everything well, Green Tea Citrus Cleanser is where I’d start.

Best for Breakouts + Blackheads: Raspberry Refining Cleanser
If you’re prone to breakouts, blackheads or clogged pores but don’t want your cleanser to leave your skin feeling dry and tight, Raspberry Refining Cleanser is one of my favorite choices.
The salicylic acid helps get into the pores to loosen excess oil and buildup, making it especially helpful for blackheads and congestion. I also like this cleanser when blemishes are red and inflamed because it leaves the skin feeling clean and balanced rather than stripped.
This is also one I personally rotate into my own routine when I notice hormonal breakouts starting.
Choose Raspberry Refining if: breakouts, blackheads, clogged pores and inflamed blemishes are your biggest concerns.

Best for Hyperpigmentation + Uneven Skin Tone: Honey Brightening Cleanser
If dullness, uneven skin tone or lingering discoloration are what you notice most, Honey Brightening Cleanser is a beautiful choice.
It gently exfoliates as it cleanses, helping skin look smoother and brighter while addressing the appearance of uneven pigmentation.
I especially like it when someone wants more from their cleanser than simply removing the day. It gives you a brightening step right from the beginning of your routine.
Choose Honey Brightening if: hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, dullness and congestion are your biggest concerns.

Best for Dry + Sensitive Skin: Pomegranate Antioxidant Cleanser
If your skin feels dry, sensitive or easily depleted, Pomegranate Antioxidant Cleanser is the one I’d reach for.
It gently cleanses without taking away the moisture your skin needs, leaving it feeling soft and comfortable rather than tight after cleansing. I especially like it for mature skin or anytime the skin is feeling more fragile or in need of extra care.
Choose Pomegranate Antioxidant if: dryness, sensitivity, tightness or mature skin are your biggest concerns.

Best for Oily Skin + Clogged Pores: Charcoal Clay Cleanser
If excess oil, clogged pores or blackheads are your biggest concerns, Charcoal Clay Cleanser gives your skin a deeper cleanse without making it feel harsh or stripped.
Charcoal and clay help draw away excess oil and buildup, making this one especially nice when your skin feels congested or gets noticeably oilier throughout the day. I also like it after a workout or a long hike when my skin feels like it needs a really thorough cleanse.
Choose Charcoal Clay if: excess oil, clogged pores, blackheads or congestion are your biggest concerns.

Best for Sun Damage + Wrinkles + Uneven Texture: Glycolic Cleanser
If your skin is looking rough, dull or showing signs of sun damage, Glycolic Cleanser is the most active cleanser in the Skin Script collection.
Glycolic acid exfoliates dead surface cells as you cleanse, helping improve the appearance of uneven texture, discoloration and dullness. Because it’s more active than the other cleansers, I recommend it for skin that’s already comfortable with exfoliating acids rather than sensitive skin or someone just beginning to use them.
Pila’s Tip: You can also cocktail the Glycolic Cleanser with another cleanser. I like mixing it with Pomegranate Antioxidant Cleanser to buffer the glycolic when I want gentler exfoliation, or with Charcoal Clay Cleanser when congested skin needs a little extra boost.
Choose Glycolic Cleanser if: sun damage, rough texture, dullness or discoloration are your biggest concerns.

What About Double Cleansing?
I recommend double cleansing every evening, even when you haven't worn makeup or sunscreen. Throughout the day, your skin collects excess oil, sweat, dead skin cells, pollution, and other buildup that I prefer to thoroughly remove before applying nighttime skincare.
You can use the same gentle cleanser twice, or choose two different cleansers depending on what your skin needs.
For example, Green Tea Citrus Cleanser makes a lovely everyday option, while Pomegranate Antioxidant Cleanser is a good choice when your skin needs something more comforting.
When using an active cleanser such as Raspberry Refining or Glycolic, I prefer pairing it with a gentler cleanser rather than using two exfoliating cleansers back to back.
Pila's Tip: Double cleansing doesn't mean scrubbing harder or using more product. Gentle massage and a thorough rinse are what matter. When your skin is particularly dry or sensitive, keep both cleansing steps gentle and adjust as needed.
That's one of the reasons I keep several Skin Script cleansers in my own shower. I can tailor my evening routine to what my skin needs that day.
